FAQ

CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain, especially in areas of significant community-based transmission. CDC also advises the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it, from transmitting it to others.” –Center for Disease Control

What are your masks made of?

Our masks are made of breathable cotton jersey (ultrasoft t-shirt material). We are following Kaiser Permanente’s recommendations for fabric weight and fibers.

Do your masks have filters?

Our masks do not have filters. They are made of 2 layers of substantial weight jersey fabric to provide an additional barrier.

Are these washable and reusable?

Yes, they can be washed innumerable times, just like your favorite t-shirt.

How fast can you deliver?

We pride ourselves on quick turn-around time, as we stock millions of yards of fabric in Los Angeles. Your masks will be shipped 10-14 days after order placement/deposit, depending on quantity and where we are in our production cycle.

What size are your masks?

Our masks are one size fits most. They have very comfortable ear loops made of the same cotton fabric as the body of the mask.

What colors do you carry?

White, black, navy, and heather gray— dependent on order size. Custom colors available on orders over 50,000 pieces.

Do you donate masks to nonprofits?

From senior citizens sewing at home, community ventures, and hospitals, we have donated thousands of yards of fabric to aid in our initiative of providing masks for America. Please email us at masks@eaglefabrics.com and a member from our team will let you know as soon as possible if we can help your cause.

How do I care for the mask?

Please wash before use. Our masks are machine washable. We suggest to wash in the longest and hottest water cycle. Tumble dry low and do not dry clean or bleach.

While our mask aims to protect, it is not a replacement for medical grade Personal Protective Equipment, and is not intended to replace other recommended measures to stop the community spread of COVID-19. Please continue to wash your hands frequently, practice social distancing, and refrain from touching your face. As recommended by the CDC, wash your mask routinely, and do not touch the body of the mask when putting on or taking off. In circumstances where medical grade PPE is recommended, you should consult a health professional as to how best to keep yourself safe. According to the CDC, “cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under the age of two, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.”
